Dash of Prima

Hello all! Today I got to play some of the My Mind's Eye paper line, Lost and Found Ruby. I love their glittery lines of paper!  I was at a crop and there was a sketch challenge, so I thot I'd kill 2 birds with one stone.... try the challenge and get my blog post page! So here is what I came up from the Scrapbook Etc. page sketch no. 184.....
I used my Lucky 8 punch.... sadly the warehouse is almost out of these so get them while you can!
Side 1, for the lettering I had to use what I had on hand, but sookwang tape and glitter would have been my choice with my favorite die for titles..... Yes, the Tim Die, Wordplay.
A border punch along the edge, and see those flowers?
Those flowers are incredible fun little embellishments by Prima. They are resist, so it's kind of magical when you spray a few of them, you don't know what the resist will reveal! And Tattered Angels came out with some gorgeous new colors of glimmer mist!

Here are the two pages put together. Hop over to Scrapbooker's Paradise for the supply list, and have a Happy Scrappy Day :-)

Disney's Brave Merida

I have been waiting to try this brick die from Tim Holtz ( Sizzix ) and finally got to!

First I cut out the "grout" with a medium brown cardstock. Then I used the distress inks to color a white background for the bricks. I used pumice stone, vintage photo and rusty hinge. I placed the colors randomly.
next was to make the grout sticky, so I ran it thru my sticker maker, the 5 " size.
I cut out a bookplate with the Sizzix die and then covered it with embossing ink, and then the aged marine embossing powder.
I wanted to add a few more brick effects around the page and I got to use my new stamp from Donna Salazar. The embossing powder is from Lindy's Stamp Gang, midnight bronze obsidian.
Then just because I was playing and in an embossing mood, I covered the brick made from the die, and covered it with versamark, then sprinkled the Kaleidoscope embossing powder over that and heated it, so it shimmers. It's pretty :-)
I love the metal pieces from Mementa and use them often.
And here is the finished page, this was a fun day in Disney... as they all always are!! Have a happy scrappy day. Hop over to Scrapbooker's Paradise to see the supply list.

Next Stop, Hogwarts...

Well, I just had to start scrapbooking our trip to Disneyworld... and the highlight was The Wizarding World of Harry Potter!!! Oh my gosh, if you are a Harry Potter fan.... this is a dreamworld were you are immersed in magic. It truly was amazing... and don't even get me started on Butter Beer!!! But anyway.... it was so much fun, and I will have a "few" more pages to scrap as you can imagine.... but here is a start...

Creative Imaginations made it easy, with their Harry Potter paper pack, and matching sticker sheets.

This paper was all about the spells, and it just happened to match the box that Maddie's came in!!! Magic? I say yes!
Because it was all magical, I added some sparkle to the paper, I outlined some of the spells with stickles, and I used the thick glue, fabritac or other mixed media glue and poured some glass glitter by stampendous on the corners.
Have a happy scrappy day, Hop over to Scrapbooker's Paradise to see the supply list.
