Glitzy

Spring is in the Air! And so is Maddie! This is ANOTHER one of my favorite pictures of Maddie. Why the couch is in the front lawn is a whole other story, but I LOVE the pic!!
Glitz has 3 new lines out right now, I couldn't decide between 2 of them, Happy Travels and Pretty in Pink, so I have combined pieces of both.
a little bit of stickle to bring the bird to life, and some glossy accents to accent the writing " Something Good will happen today" Great saying!
some bling, glitter and a few Glitz embelly's compliment Maddie's Rose covered couch.
a smattering of flowers and wooden buttons.

Hope you enjoy your day, Spring is on the way!

Glimmer Mist featured product

Hello All! It's time for a new featured product. Between March 15th and March 31st 2012, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist ( excluding new colors) is the featured product and will be available for the
special price of $7.50 ( regular $8.99 )
If you are ordering online, please quote FIGM in the comments section of your order.
Glimmer Mists come in a wide selection of beautiful colors.

Before I get onto the Glimmer Mist, I thot I would answer a question that I get asked daily. " What do I do with chip board?" Here are just a few ways to accent your chip board....
I have cut out a few flowers and flourishes with the Tim Holtz dies, elegant flourishes and tattered florals.
I cut out a patterened piece of paper ( Glitz in this case ) and glued it to the chipboard flourish with zig 2 way glue.
the next one I used Distress ink to color the flourish
you can add different colors, or spray it with water to give it more of a distressed look.
this one I embossed
and then inked with distress ink
heat embossed with shiny gold
heat embossed with shabby taupe
after inking it I added glossy accents
or stickles
and last but not least I sprayed it with glimmer mist. There are a few ideas to to color your chip board, there are many many more!
Here is where I used a few of my glimmer misted swirls.

Something a little different

Hello All, I thot I would do something a little different today. I saw the new Prima Genie Stones and thot they were so pretty they should be earrings.... so, I made some! I had the hooks already and I  added the matching stones. I think I'm onto something here. My next visit to the bead store I'll check out more dangly connections, but for now, these will work :-)

And I didn't stop there. At Scrapbookers Paradise they have these beautiful keys. There are a few different styles, this was my favourite. I've seen them used on scrapbook page layouts, but they also make great necklaces! The top of the key untwists and you can fit 3 of the Jesse James glass beads on. I picked a few that I liked and decorated my key.

There are necklaces for sale, and bracelets that will fit the beads. I used a black necklace here. The possibilities are endless with this key! I can change the pattern to fit any outfit!
Just something a little outside the box today. Hope you enjoyed my project.
Have a Happy Scrappy Day!

Bo Bunny Weekend Market

6 new Bo Bunny lines came into Scrapbookers Paradise this week. This was my favorite!! Weekend Market. The line has a board book, and I fell in love with it. You get 6 pages to play with.... here is what I came up with :-)

On the front cover I used the Shabby Chic embossing powders to make the sign post. It looks like metal, but it's just chipboard. :-) All the paper is from the Bo Bunny Weekend market line, and the new vintage BoBunny dots.

The butterflies are from Tim Holtz's Easter Die. Beautiful Butterflies! I used one of Tim's fragments here for some of the stamps.

I added a few charms along the way, just for fun.
lots of Bo Bunny bling, and trinkets and brads. I used a ribbon hinge again, so I could add a door.

 ruler charm.

You may recognize this as the backing to the Trinket packaging.

Tim's valise, filled with journal tags.
 Tim's new line of stamps.
Journalling on the back of the tags.

Hope you enjoyed my board book, have a happy scrappy day :-)
